I don't know where they come up with it but my mom and grandma always made me peanut butter and syrup sandwhiches growing up. I still eat them to this day.

I was sitting here thinking..................I don't eat anything weird, y'all eat some nasty stuff. But then over the Memorial Day Holiday I bbq'd some burgers. Needless to say I put a thin layer of peanut butter between the meat and the cheese :bounce:

Also used to eat bean sandwiches when my grandmother was alive. She'd make a big pot of beans one day, and the next mash the cold beans with some mayo, put it on bread with some lettece, and there ya go. Her and my grandfather always ate weird things like that. But then they lived through the depression, so were used to using everything.

Really? You guys posting all this REALLY weird stuff that you eat, and you think a bean burger is odd? Tons of mainstream restaurants have black bean burgers on their menus! It's basically a veggie burger. That's not strange at all.

Not black beans Biff. A pot of pinto beans, simmered all day with salt pork. And I loved em, both the bowl of beans for dinner, and the bean sammich for luch the next day.

There's not a big difference between a pinto bean burger and a black bean burger! I bet a pinto bean burger would taste great. I make a really good fake meatloaf out of pinto, kidney, lentils and other beans. Tastes good!!

I make tacos for dinner a lot -- fake ground beef, beans, rice, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, avocado, tomato and onions -- in soft corn tortillas. But tortillas are only sold in packs of 12, and I always find the leftovers going to waste, since we aren't able to eat all 12 of them. So now instead of making tacos, I make a nacho bake in the oven, using corn tortilla chips instead of the corn tortillas I usually use. Toss everything on top and put in the oven until the cheese is melted. Any leftover chips get eaten with dip, salsa, or guac, and the dinner itself is basically chopped up tacos cooked in the oven together. It works out great!!

Ummm but I guess nachos aren't that weird.
