Removing Copper is not something normally done in this hobby. EDTA looks like its a form of acetic acid, which is probably something you don't want in a display tank. If you've dosed your display tank with copper you really have two options - make it a fish only display, or start over with a new tank
If you're still going to proceed with this method (which I don't know anything about) you're going to have to watch ph, dosing an acid in your tank is going to lower it, possibly to the point where it is harmful to livestock
