What is this black pearl thingy?

that looks like bubble alage take it off the rock but do not break it open it is best if you take the rock out of the tank to do that. try using tweezers.

can you get a closer pic of it, thats a big bubble for bubble algae if thats what it is.

they get big i have had them the size or quarters

tell me about it i had got rid of them completely then i got a coral that had one on it and there they go again.

I tried to zoom in on it but it would get too blurry, Can you take a closer pic? Not sure if it's algae because it's black. Is it hard or soft?

It is black and it is hard and shiny. But if you push on it real hard it does seem to give just abit. I will take another pic and resend....

you could take the rock outta the tank for a few minutes to get a nice good infocus close up.

Definitely bubble algae. I've had black and silver ones in my tank too.
I'd get rid of it before it starts to spread even more. Don't pop it in your tank, or it will release spores. They're pretty easy to remove by hand with a pair of tweezers.
