    Just looks like a fan worm/feather duster to me.
    Harmless filter feeder. they just eat tiny particles in your water.

    Will a hermit crab kill this guy? I really like him especially if he isn't harmfull!

    just a fan.. it wont kill it and as your tank mtaures you will see more of them.. they will come and then die off on their own then come back again.. the more nutrient rich your tank is the more of them you will see... you will find them anywhere from your display to your sump inside your protein skimmer or refugium..
