What is this?

I have just set up a new tank with live rock and sand. While looking in the tank, I saw the sand moving as if something was burrowing. I moved the sand and found this thing. It has a small hole on the underside?

what is the size of the biggest hole?

It has one hole on the underside (image below). It doesn't seem to move very often, but when it does it can shift through crushed coral, so is quite strong. It looks like it's made of coral itself, just the weirdest thing. I haven't seen the creature within as it seems to move when I'm not looking :)

Just for good measure, here is a side view. It seems to have little holes along the side as well?
