looks like a polyp colony on my snail??? are these hydroids, no tubes but a calcium like base

they look dark brown

they did retract when I touched them...hydroids have tubes like feather dusters so don't think it is that

weird

I can't tell what it is but it doesn't look like hydroids. Could it be star polyps just starting up.

My white star polyps were very brown when they were just starting out. It was a tiny brown blob when I first noticed it.
