When I bought this rock this was attached to it. I'm not sure if it's harmless or bad but it's kinda ugly. Just wondering what you guys thought.

That looks like a dead brain coral skeleton. There may be some living flesh left on it. Is it all totally hard and white? Or is there some color and flesh?

Biff is the rock being that purple a good or bad thing?

That's good -- it's coralline.

Yeah it's okay. With some TLC the coral has a good chance of coming back.
