any ideas what corals/mushrooms/ is good for start...?

what types of fish is reef safe for start...?

what kind of skimmer is good for biocube 29?

mushrooms ,zoas or leathers tend to be the most hardy

chromis are great starter fish

I was pretty meticulous in planning my tank, however because of that I have had no problems. I knew what colors I wanted, I knew what size fish were right for my tank, and since I knew my tank would be full or coral I made sure to get fish that were 100% reef safe. I would get on somewhere like liveaquaria, maybe browse the tank showcase here and see what everyone has. You are limited to 3 fish in that tank, so choose them wisely and get things you LOVE not like. Educating yourself also stops you from impulse buying things that aren't right for your tank.

Any soft coral will be a great starter coral, and I'd get a pair of clownish for my first fish.
