What type of snail is this?

Angelajean

I know that I don't know
I do not know what type of snail this is, other than he burrows in the sand.

Can someone help me?

If I know what it is then I can look up some info on it.
Thanks,
Angie

I thought he looked like an olive snail too. Now I had read previously and again went back and looked. I think I need to find him and get him out before he eats all my margarita snails.

I found a margarita snail shell without the snail. Is that possible?

Thanks,
Angie

The margarita snail probably died on it's own and was eaten by your clean up crew. Margarita snails don't typically do well in warm reef tanks.

I was wondering if it is possible that the unidentified snail, possibly olive snail ate the margarita snail. I guess not.

I took him out and put him in a container. I am taking him back to the LFS tomorrow. I wanted the nassarius snail, but he didn't have those and said these would do the same job. Yes I guess he did, but I could do without the carnivorous behavior. I saw him take out one of other margaritas, shell and all.

Thanks,
Angie
