Whats on my sea snail?

So I've had these snails in my aquarium for probably 4 months now..just regular snails.
And on one of them, theres like a purple sack that has grown larger over the past 2 weeks. It's on the back of the snail under the shell. I'd get a picture If I really have to once he gets out of the rocks.

Any ideas?

it might be coralline algea on the shell.

if its a sack i would bet its bubble algae. if it looked more like a flat growth i would guess coralline.

I don't think I'll be able to get a picture of it..It's almost like a big purple bubble with little things coming out of it.

So the pinkish bubble thing has grown almost double in size..and its got more of a bubble shape to it now.

Any ideas..I need to know if its bad..good..doesn't matter, etc.

At this point, your best bet would be to email a picture to the guys at Wet Web Media. They are pros at IDing the obscure.

Is it on the shell or on the leafy part of the snail? It looks like it could be a tumor growing on its foot :dunno:
