phosphate reactors?

is one necessary?

i believe i have a large amount of phosphates in my water, i have a good amount of algae growth...

i used rodi water from the lfs and mix my own saltwater with reef crystals.

but basically i just want to know... can it hurt to have one and not need it? are there any downsides to having one? etc

i have a phos reactor. just be sure to not add to much and to push to much water through the reactor or it could be bad.. but i dont have a bit of algae in my tank what so ever...

they are good and if there is no po4 than the media is not getting used so no problems if the po4 is 0. also stay away from aluminum based phosphate removers

ohh okay

so a small pump gives the reactor the water and then it does its thing and then sends then water back into the system.

it is its own system.

and you believe this will help my algae problem?
