The challenge of it is my fav part. and the DIY stuff. Love it.

Probably noticing the growth of my corals. I neat to get a tiny peice of SPS and watch it grow into a colony.

i like that fact that every single tank is different and everyone in the hobby can and will go different ways with their tanks

Aside from the obvious aesthetics and soothing aspect of watching a tank, I love the science behind it. DIY'ing is also a plus. I just saw that you can DIY an overflow using just PVC! Which is what my next project is for my 10 gallon :)

I love how one can try to duplicate what takes place naturally on the reef. I like learning about the husbandry of the animals and how certain equipment does the job of what takes place naturally in the ocean (i.e. protein skimmers doing what waves do in the ocean)

I basically like the fact that everything grows, it must be because of my parents owning the greenhouse or something, but everything that kept me interested in plants, planted tanks and now reef tanks revolves around the fact that I get to watch beautiful creatures grow.
