Which lights would be better?

starting a 30 gallon reef tank would these lights be acceptable for a reef tank? If they are then which one is better, Number 1 or 2?

They are both the same -- they each have 2 T5 bulbs. So which one is better comes down to your preference. How long is your tank? A 2-bulb fixture may be too low on light for a lot of corals.

Well the second link comes in a 30" length, the first one does not. So if you were going to choose between the two, the one that fits your tank would look the best.

what corals would i beable to have

Softies like zoanthids, leathers and mushrooms, and some LPS. No anemones, no clams, no SPS corals.
