White film

Got a new question. I am cycling my live rock. It has been in for one week and there is a white film on the sides of the tank. I have read that the water gets really nasty with ammonia and nitrites but nothing said anything about white films. Is this normal? Do I just let it go or do I scrape it off? According to research all water parameters are in check except pH which is low, 7.8-8.0.

No stink. Smells like salt water. Just took me by surprise. I had the water in for a week before putting the rock in and it has been in for a week today. Yesterday this film showed up on the glass out of nowhere. Thought it might be part of the curing process but thought I would ask.

Could be bacteria too. When I cured some rock in my old 55,I had a white film build up on the glass. It went away on its own after about a week and half.
