I got word today I get to go on one of my favorite Dives. I did this last September and thought I would share with you all. I'm so excited I can't even explain it.

Very cool. Looks like a great experience. I take it they don't play the soundtrack to Jaws on the trip.

Actually they did!! They have a speaker that is used for underwater balley below the dive boat. They play all kinds of music, lawrence the guy who runs Great White Adventures is a nut and thinks the sharks like the music.

Isla de Guadalupe about 225 miles southwest of San Diego.

That is so awesome. I have always wanted to dive with the sharks but as of yet it is still just a dream. I have to get certified and then I'd really like to take my wife to Australia and do it there. I wasn't aware that there was anyone doing it stateside. I am excited for you and look forward to seeing your pics!

You actually don't "NEED" to be certified for this dive as the air is surface supplied. If you want to do the submersible cage then you need the cert.

There is a much cheaper white shark dive on the Farallon Islands in Cali. Great white adventures does that one as well. I did it and was not very happy though, visibility was terrible. You couldn't see the sharks until they where right in your face. Unless you where out of the cage and they breached. That trip is what led me to the Guadalupe islands.

If you do decide to get certified Tucson has one of the best dive shops in the state. El Mar in mesa is really good to been around forever.

Submersible cage. Sorry for the bad pic but it was taken from a guy IN the topside cage. This is me and Lawrence in the sub cage. You can only go down in it with him and the timing has to be perfect and as you can tell your exposed on all sides. The small cage is just for safety in case a shark gets frisky. Otherwise your free to hang out..

Wow. Thanks for the info. It is on my list of things to do, just not a lot of extra $ for those types of adventures these days, but soon hopefully!

Diving with those sharks would be blast.
But I'd have to take the risk and pet one.

It's a small risk but ya everyone touches the sharks even though they tell you not to.
