white spot

[i've got crabs]

i purchased a regal tang the other day and was warned of white spot. guess what it got white spot, iv try'd garlic laced food, its not getting any worse but its not shifting it.
anyone got any good treatments bearing in mind i have corals

There is no treatment for it if you keep it in your tank. Any treatments effective against ich are not reef safe and must be done in a separate quarantine tank. Keep in mind, if you have other fish in your tank, they all have it now too. Only treating the tang will not do any good, as he will get it passed back from the other fish as soon as you reintroduce him back into the tank. If you want to treat for the disease, you now have to remove and treat every fish in your tank. And treatment takes up to 8 weeks.

The alternative is to just let him try to fight it off himself.

wow that sounds bad. so basicly a need a seperate tank just for tratments.
is there anything else i can do to help him fight it.

Make sure the fish isn't stressed out and is eating when you feed it. If he's eating and not stressed he should be able to fight it off

First of all garlic does nothing to get rid of ich
