Worm In My Star Polyps

So I was wondering why my stars haven't come out the last few days. Then I spotted this worm cursing around and pecking at stuff. What in the heck is it? (Sorry, image shack degrades the clarity a little bit.)

I would guess a Peanut worm, but it's very hard to tell without a better picture.

Let's assume it is a peanut worm...what do I do about it?

Not sure if those are higher resolution or not. I can't get a better picture of it...I can't even find it now : (

if it is a peanut worm just leave it they do no harm

Any ideas why the polyps are not out the last few days?

I did water test and the only thing that is high is Ammonia @ 1.00 ppm. Nitrates are at 0

ammona will do it. and sometime gsp will do that and after a couple days the polyps will extend again but you need to find out why the ammonia is up

How do I get rid of the Ammonia? I am pretty sure it's dieoff from the water leak I had. I just did a 20 gallon water change last night and it didn't budget the Ammonia levels.

Yeah it has to cycle again if your ammonia is readable.

this is where 25% water changes daily would be recommended, it can save a lot of livestock.

Check your test kit, too, if you did a water change, it probably should have dropped a bit. I always have 2 on hand, and if one level is suspicious, I cross-check.

Looks like a peanut to me though..
