Worm - name and new growth?

    What is the name of this thing? All i know is that it is called a "worm", but is there an official name?

    Is the white part of the tube new growth?

    That would be my guess but I have never owned a coco worm. It doesn't look like anything to worry about.

    It looks like part of it body that tucks inside he outer shell! But +1 on the coco worm!
