Wrasses

As I understand it, you shouldn't keep male wrasses of the the same species in the same tank. Can I mix males of different species of genus Cirrhilabrus or males of Cirrhilabrus and Wetmorella or Paracheilinus?

I really love how the various wrasses look and would like to make them the majority in my aquarium.

What size tank are you talking about putting them in? If it is a large tank there will be very little problems, but a smaller tank with several fish that look the same, act the same, and eat the same things is usually a recipe for disaster.

Also, just as a FWI you can buy females of the species you want and they will become male, which might make shopping for them a little easier. This isnt true of all wrasses, but a fair few of them do this.

+1 little fish
You can also keep a male with several (2-3) females of in a tank this size. The males will tend to display for them a little more than without. Can't wait to see your tank get going, and I agree about the 1200 gallon tank. :)
