saw this little booger crawling around on a particular rock over the past few days and finally was able to grab him. he looks like a snail, but hes black, and flat. he DOES have a shell on his back that is dark gray but is really hard to see in the photos. i have a few other critters in my tank like this one but theyre all brownish/tan with a light colored shell. i believe theyre Stomatella snails.. could this black one be just a Stomatella with a bad ass paint job and a pimped out shell?

Absolutely. I had them in a bunch of different colors. Definitely a stomatella.
