Yellow sponge growing like crazy

I was looking around my tank tonight with a flashlight. Underneath a large rock there's a huge chunk of yellow sponge growing there. It's not real thick, but it's all over the place. Anyway for me to know if it's good/bad? I think it'd be near impossible to get a good photo of it.

Sponges are generally a good sign. They grow when you have optimal water conditions. If you expose the sponges to air, they will almost certainly die.
