Hey now... Yote is from Georgia... he is just a hop skip and a jump away from me... I ASSURE you that child can skin a deer, Snatch a catfish out of a log, snipe any large game she wants, and then tear down her rifle, clean it and have it back together in under 5 minutes...

    Mine Can!

Yea... EVERYBODY makes fun of a redneck until they need:

    1. Vehicle pulled from a ditch
    2. Repairs done on said vehicle
    3. Some deer sausage

Then rednecks are WONDERFUL.... We see how it is!

hmmm snausage.. oh how tastey it is, couple years ago, i shot a deer, skinned him, cleaned him, took him over and had him made into wonderfull delicious snausages.. some spicey, some not so much(the wife dosent like spicey)

i got home with it, vacu-baggie'd it, left a couple links out and made dinner with it, the wife ate one bite, and now she wont touch it... she said its too "gamey"

    MORE FOR ME!

she's not a country girl tho, too bad, i'd trade her in for one, if anyone would take her..

You know that if you soak it over night in buttermilk that it'll take the game taste.

i dont think it tastes gamey, and hell, i had it mixed, 50%deer, 25%cow and 25%pig(had to put some fat in there or the sausage woulda been too lean)

so, if thats too gamey for her, then fine, i wont waste my time making any more thats not spicey like i like it.

Infact, i think i may just have it all made into dried sausage this year.. makes a great sittn on the couch snack, if you ask me.

I gotta say, I have a lot of respect for you Yote. Every daughter ought to be taught the basics of self reliance. Hopefully my kids will be better hunters than I am ... :grumble:
