I always check Comsumer Reports.com before buying things. They have been trusted for a really long time.

I haven't really heard much about Clarion tv's, but I know that 720p is a little older technology and most tv's are 1080i or 1080p by now. However, that is probably why it is a little cheaper. It is still gonna be a heck of a lot nicer than a standard tv if that is what you have now.

Yes, right now we have a 24" inch TV. I know it's not one of the best brands out there, but for that price and a 2-year warranty, I'll take it!

One of my favorite sites for great electronic deals is Ben's Bargains. They do the deal hunting for you. And any woman that wants to buy her man a flat screen TV is tops in my book. They are mad expensive but the picture is usually phenomenal. Good Luck.

Man I opened this thread and became really scared right away. I read Biff's statement

"The Black Friday Shopping thread got me thinking... "

Yike's Biff is "thinking" not good:shock:

And then Picasso joins in with

"I'm with you Biff, let the guys do the shopping, it's in their DNA- to go out get stuff and drag it back into the cave!"

There must be something wrong with this caveman....I'm alway's trying to throw something or someone OUT of the cave. Unless it has something to do with saltwater stuff. I shall blame it on my parents. They never threw anything away. Way to much cluter, I can't stand cluter.

And then I noticed Biff was trying to get her "minions" to work for her. I think I see her true color's shining through now

WARNING: We must keep Biff & Picasso away from each other, it could spell doom for us guy's!!

Yea HDMI cables only REALLY make a diff when your using an HD format. (blu ray, HDTV etc...) Otherwise you may notice a small diff.

I know more people that get these "low end" inexpensive tv's that have a great picture for about half the price of a sony or sharp or some other "high end" brand and the TV lasts 20 years with no problems. And then I know other people who buy the expensive crap and get a hundred year warranty and the thing is a real pos. It's all a crap shoot anymore. If you're happy with the purchase then it was a great deal. Congrats you two!

sony actually now buys out most of their products, then assembles them and slaps the sony name on them to make money
