Zoa heads

I had a piece of sponge growing on a small zoa I have. I pulled the sponge and a few of the zoa heads came off with it. Can I clip the small individual heads off and glue them to a rock and expect them to grow?

Yes. Just be careful. Zoas contain a toxin that can make you sick if it gets in your blood stream. Wear safety glasses and wash you hands really well after you handle them

I would leave the heads on the mat if you can, and then glue the mat to the rock. They will have a better change of surviving that way

On the mat?? You mean what they grow on, the stick-like thing? This is a very small bunch, maybe six of seven heads and I don't see anything like that, they are sticking to the sponge or to eachother.

I just pulled off the part with the sponge and saved the rest. Only lost about three heads. Thanks guys.
