zoa removal

i bought 2 green brown white zoa colonys, for a steal. but there is a problem, there are some ugly ass brown polyps growing on them. can u just take a knive and remove them?

They will likely grow back from where you cut them off. Try smothering them with superglue instead.

depending on what angle you can get to them..... Just take a razor or exacto knife and scrape under the base and try and get a think layer of rock. Dont forget your face shield! :D Throw it on a plug and sell it to someone in your club for like 5 bucks.

no, no, no... Dont kill them lol. Frag em and save them for a swap or something. :) Speaking of frags I accidently fragged my GARF bonsai (sigh) tonight. Good size piece to... About an inch.

If you can get 15 or 20 of them growing on a plug you can trade them for a cool mushroom or some other zoas in the future. Look at it as a free coral--you just gotta grow them up a bit before you can trade them.
