ZOOT098

Reefing newb
i thought i should post some pics of my newest build
oceanic 72gal bowfront
nova extreme pro lighting
coralia powerheads 2@ 800gal per hour
120# live rock
60# aragonite
20# garf grunge
20 gallon sump
10 gallon refugium

waiting until jan 30th to fire up the skimmer

i skipped pics of the stand build and the empty tank etc
this is what it looks like on it 2nd month birthday
i followed the GARF bullet proof reef recipe with the exception of the plenum
I also skipped most of my cycle as i bought the live rock about 2 months prior to setting up the tank and cured it seperately

anyway comments appreciated

i had to resize them

How's your growth on your montiporas? I'm curious to see what other people's growth rates are with these. Looks very good so far!

jag i cant believe the growth
i figured it may double in size in a year
but i swear there are days when i look in and can tell it grew from the night before
its also my only sps
i sold all my lps that were in my 90 to "bigploch"
and stuck with softies in my 75

although i do have an aussie frogspawn, that i swear hasnt grown 1 bit in the 6 months ive had it, very unimpressed with it
it probably something im doing wrong though

My frogspawn never grew, either. I didn't spot feed it though, I figured it just got some mysis from what landed on it during tank feedings.

Nice tank! The 72 gallon bow front is one of my favorite tanks and I will have one someday. Only tank that tops the 72 bow is the 90 gal wave front.

Corals look very nice too!
