15 years ago people said black headed pythons were impossible to breed. My friend applied an idea I came up with, and he bred his.

So the jawfish colony will be more spread out than I am thinking? Ill put the maroons in the DT then. Or pick another species.

    Variko's 120

Thanks for the compliments I worked very hard and it means alot. The best part is the rocks are kinda modular. If there is a problem I can remove 1 whole stack, without disturbing anything else.

Wont the barnacle blennies stay in the barnacles grouped together? As well as the jawfish colony? The entire bottom of this tank will be open.

The 29 will have its own light whcih will be as good of a light as the DT. I am with you on the keeping of the Maroons in the 29. I havent decided on that one. I had hoped a mated pair would be ok in there, as I have mostly observed that they stay where the nem is and dont really use alot of the...

The mangroves will not be under the tank. The 29 will be next to the display tank so the mangroves will have plenty of space and light. I started playing with the pvc in March and didnt finalize the design until May. I have cut and drilled the dead rock in every way possible, and put about 60...

So the vodka supercharges bacteria that feed on phosphates and nitrates, then they are skimmed out. How long have you been using this method? What type of fish and inverts have you used it with? I wonder how this was discovered? Did someone have their martini resting on the tank and it fell in...

Its amazing how different animals can be induvidually and as a species. The colony of jawfish that Im doing, i wouldnt be able to do with bluedot jaws. They would hammer each other.

How do you regulate the amount that you add? Is there some kind of special substrate needed for the bateria that use the vodka? Tell me more please. Alot of mixed info on this.

I want to add some red scooter "blennies" and perhaps a sea moth. If i buy mandarins they will most likely be a red ORAs. Either way I will have tons of pods before i add any dragonets. Cant find much info on the sea moths, so i figure ill treat them as a wild mandarin. 6 line is high on my...

    goby compatability

Anyone have some suggestions for wrasses or dottybacks compatible with small gobies, jawfish, dragonets, and blennies? 120 tank btw. Im looking for some open swimmers. Everything else i have chosen will hang out on the rocks or substrate. Im not worried so much about food dominance as i will...

I see 2 problems with me using the carbon dosing method. Id srew it up. And it would be one for the tank, one for me. Before you know it my tank would be my drinking buddy and my family would have to intervene lol. Seriously though how does this work out for you is it hard to regulate? It seems...

    Fuge vs scrubber

The thing I was most concerned with was the sucess people have had with Chaeto vs a scrubber. How fast can chaeto pull out phosphates and nitrates. From everything Ive read, chaeto will be plenty fast for the little bio load that I will have, and the lack of sps. My sand beds will pull out...
