FOODS AND FEEDING - Varied diet of mostly vegetable matter, dried and frozen herbivore foods, marine algae, blue green alga spirulina, pieces of zucchini, broccoli, leaf lettuce and sushi nori (dried seaweed). Feed 3 times a day.
AQUARIUM SUITABILITY - 8
REEF COMPATIBILITY - Generally safe, will spend most of its time browsing on filamentous microalgae and small fleshy macroalgae. If under fed may nip at large polyped stonby corals.
CAPTIVE CARE - Keep only one unless a very large tank is used over 180 US Gal. (681 L) where a small group may be kept. Can be aggressive if crowded, provide plenty of swim room, and a selection of herbivores fare.
