Cycling without live Rock

Happy Sunday all, I finally got a weekend to work on my tank. I have salt water in as well as live said. A lot of dead rock and I will get out next Saturday to buy the live rock. I'm wondering if I wan start the cycle now with out the live rock. Would it hurt anything, slow down the process or would it not matter.

Guess to sum it up asking if I could start the cycle today and add the live rock next weekend,

Sure, it won't hurt anything to start cycling now. If you have live sand in there, you have some bacteria ready to go. Once you add the live rock, that's when you should really see a spike in the parameters.
