Hello everybody
I am planning for my new tank ( 79" x 24" x 30" high ). Actually, I am wondering between two thickness 15mm & 19mm. So, which thickness will be better according to the following volume. And if I use thickness 19mm can I do the tank without handles for strengthening .
Waiting for your point of views

If you are using clear float glass for everything, you will need 18mm for the sides and 24mm for the bottom. If you want to go with tempered glass on the bottom you can keep it at 18mm also. If it was me building this one, I'd use 24mm tempered for everything, but then I also get it at cost. Make sure your stand and floor can handle the weight of everything. If you use 1 lb of substrate / gallon and 2 lbs of LR /gallon you are looking at a total full weight of 3237 lbs. Wish I had the room for one like your thinking on building.
