PJ Cardinal ???

I have 2 PJ cardinals bought them at the same time and they were the exact same size. Now one is at the least 3 times the size of the other fish. They both eat the same amount of food.

Have they become a mated pair? Is the one becoming a female?

I don't think they change sexes like clowns do. Their sex is determined at birth. So if one got bigger than the other, they were probably juveniles when you got them, and one had his "growth spurt". I have had a pair of PJ cardinals for 11 years now, and the same thing happened to mine. I named the tiny one Peanut, and the big one Jelly (PJ -- hahaha, lame, I know...).
