Power head question

There is an art to placing powerheads. You can aim the powerhead right at a rock or wall, that will diffuse the flow. So you get lots of flow, but none of it is a direct death stream.

No, you are looking for your tank to be turned over around 2000 galls per hour with a 75, i would add at least one more powerhead. its better to have too much flow than too little.

I just put in two 1200 gph hydor koralia power head in my 75 gallon.. This brings my total flow rate to 3400. I notice the entire surface of the water is now moving vs. having a slight film on it due to inactivity.

Still using mechanical filter (Magnum 350) and no skimmer or fuge. I plan on changing that soon.
