Against the advice of the LFS, I elected to add two diamond gobies to my tank, in hopes of a wider-spread sand filtration team. I was given explicit instructions to release them on opposide sides of the tank from one another with all the lights off and then watch them both very carefully for aggression.
Imagine my distress when I found them nose to nose the very next morning. Interestingly, they get along just famously!! They've dug out a honeymoon suite at the very front of the tank, smack dab in the middle. The larger one protects the smaller one from the curious clowns. I even watched the larger one feed a mysis shrimp to the smaller one.
At lights out, they both snuggle up inside their cave and backfill it completely until morning. Aside from a lover's quarrel, they seem to have hit it off, and my sand is whiter than ever! :bounce:
