Go to Amazon.com's Home Page

You will need to replace the bulbs to be adequate for saltwater. 6500k is great for growing algae and plants, but not corals. You want to aim for 10,000-20,000k for saltwater. Does that come with 4 bulbs?

if you look at the description it came with 2 t5HO 39w 12000k whites and 2 act.

Ted,

Copy and paste the item iteself into amazons search list, not sure why the link isnt working.

This one works.

I wasn't able to get into the link - got the same message as Ted. I was going off the description in the link that says 6500k for my comments. If it is 4 bulb and comes with 2 12000k whites and 2 actinics, then you should be good!

Yeah the first link I put up was crap. Had to redo it. Should work now though. I think only the LUnar LED's were 6500k

I have basically the same light. The only real difference is I have a built in timer. I changed one of my 10k bulbs to a 75/25 bulb looks pink when lit. Brings out the red and purple colors better. The stock bulbs in these knock off units arent the best so look around for replacements. I have been getting some great growth on my mushrooms and zoahs...should do well for you.

Its what a knock off light should go for. Aquatraders has almost the same light for 79.90 and free shipping. The legs are different but the body is the same, more then likely made in the same factory.

My first light for my reef was a 48" version of this.

The quality is fine but I'm not sure its adequate for SPS growth. One warning though, on my tank the mount prevented me from putting any kind of glass covering because the legs went over the rail over which the glass cover sits. this meant that i got salt splashes on the acrylic covering over the light which i had to clean regularly. If you have "jumpers" you will have to come up with some other kind of makeshift cover.
