Banggai Cardinalfish Missing Help

I have an almost adult banggai cardinalfish and a baby about 1 inch long in a breeder (made for freshwater) for about a mounth and just today its gone totly gone would it be possable that it jumped out and the big one ate it or what could have happened?

So the baby's gone? No holes in the breeder? Banggai's have really large mouths, as i'm sure you've seen. And they do keep their babies in their mouths...but I doubt he would see an inch long banggai as a baby....but it's possible it jumped and got eaten, or is hiding in the rocks.

if it did get eaten then would the banggai be able swallow it hole and no the there are no holes in my breeder

So it had to have jumped....either the other one ate it whole, or it died, and the cuc took care of the remains...but like I said it might even be hiding out in the rocks if it got out.

Make a fake urchin out of zip ties and put it in the tank and watch for the baby to hide in the "urchin's" spines.
