Need an id on this one

Thanks for the response, i did notice it does a great job cleaning the algae off the rock. The short time I was watching it, it has cleaned all evidence of algae from the rock. As of now I have no sps, just lps and soft corals.

Need an id on this one

I purchased a couple Flame Oysters last week and one had this thing on the side of its shell that I thought was a barnacle or something permanent. I was looking at the tank tonight and noticed it moved from the oyster and is now on a rock. It is moving slowly on the rock. I figured I would see...

    Any idea what this is?

Here is the picture that I found that confirmed it. It is from the Oregon State University's website. This is exactly what is growing in my tank. I would link you to the website, but I am unsure of the forum's rules on linking, so here is the pic.

    Any idea what this is?

Just an update on the unknown anemone. It has gotten a little larger and more defined. I also have found more of them on the same rock, about 4 or 5 total that I can see. At this point they are still very small and hard to photograph, but I have identified them as Strawberry Anemone or...

    August POTM Entries!

Thanks, it took a little bit to get that shot, as he normally only comes out when I feed him. He will grab a piece of krill off the stick and retreat back into his den (is that what its called?).

    Worm ID please

I am leaning towards Peanut Worms because from what I understand, Spaghetti Worms have tentacles, the ones in the rock do not. I was just trying to ID them to know if they are wanted or unwanted in the aquarium. Thanks.

    Worm ID please

15 minutes after I turned off the aquarium light, I grabbed my red led light to see what I could find on the rock. I took these pics using the camera flash with main light off, so the colors are not very accurate. I found a ton of bristle worms and some other type worms that I would like to get...

Help needed identifying this one also

You are correct, I just put it in about a week and a half ago. I will keep an eye on it and see what happens.

Thanks for the reply. Does it look dead to you or could it be growing?

Help needed identifying this one also

Here is another thing I found on one of the rocks that I don't know what it is. It looks like it has branches and looks like it is getting larger in the past week. Thanks again.

    Any idea what this is?

When it was smaller I thought this was a dead bristle worm, but it has not moved from this spot and has been getting larger over the past week. I reached in and gently touched it, and found it is definitely attached to the rock. Does anyone have any idea what it is, and is it friend or foe...
