Ok I understand the peripheral costs of mh fixtures. I don't really care to spend the money for two ecotech radon fixtures but I have to suspend them a foot and a half above the tank from the ceiling or can I use those rods that you suspend them with will that give enough clearance?

So the metal halide will hotter in my room but the LEDs are better on power but I'd need two panels. Anything about the maxxspect razr?

I just read in the comments under a led fixture lots of complaints about non user friendly software for the ecotech fixture. The tank I'm getting is 72 gallons, 36-22-17 I think. I know it's 36" wide for sure.

I like LEDs but I really don't have a computer capable of setting them up and controlling and customizing them. Does anyone have experience or opinions of this metal halide fixture? AquaticLife HQI Metal Halide Fixtures with T5 HO and Lunar LEDs

Will it heat up the room noticeably? Would it be possible to attach it to a wooden canopy maybe using the suspension hardware? There are no fans but apparently the unit weighs almost forty pounds, so should I just run an open top w the fixture resting on the tank?

The xr30w, my biggest worry Is that I would need a second fixture instead of just running an 800 dollar halide fixture.

Yeah I'm going flame angel, dottybacks, reef safe wrasse, fire shrimp, and eventually a blue clam and anemone. Since I just added my first live stock do I need to do a 10 or 20% water change?

How bout one from the Lps/sps propagation tank at the store? They also said I could get one of their smaller blue tangs to bring back when he got big or move to a bigger tank if I do that.

So would a flame angel be better? I need to wait about a month before adding any more fish or corals right?
