    Slinder Squirrelfish

Hello everyone. I search the forum and found nothing on this particular suirrelfish. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with them. I saw one at the fish store and was curious. Has anyone kept one in a tank before? Here is a link to some information I can find, but nothing about home...

    Review of Marineland Ml90512 Maxi-Jet 1200 , 295/1300GPH

I bought this from amazon and it was a great price. The fan create a torrent of current in the tank. I have a 120 Gallon Cube and I put two of these in it. I had to point them up in order to no damage coral. Also, the final straw came when by butterfly fish and Blue tang were sucked into it and...

    First Rookie Mistake

Yeah, in my tank I have three domino damsels which are demon fish in my opinion. LOL They chased him for about a month and he finally jumped. I finally had to remove them. My father had his trigger and other fish jump as well, also chased by damsels.

    torch coral

I have found in my tank that the best amount of current is just enough to blow the sediment off, but not enough to press the flesh of the coral tot he skeleton. Another words, it should be smashed:)

    First Rookie Mistake

I wonder how many times he jumped and hit glass before making it through that hole? What other fish do you have? I have a Niger Trigger and my tank is covered by a hood all the way around. He jumped into the overflow and stay in there for a week. I didn't know he had so I assumed he had died in...

    torch coral

What kind of direct current do you have on it? I noticed my torch will do the same thing if the light is too low or the current is too strong or directly hitting the coral all the time. Do you have a picture of what the "shriviling" looks like?

120 Gallon Cube - Drilled Reef Tank

Small update on the fish tank. I have added a few new entries since the last post. Here is a video of the tank including new entries. I removed the three Domino Damsels because they were attacking every fish in my tank. They are the spawn of the devil! LOL After I removed them, my whole tank...

Birds nest Coral Bleaching - recovery?

I have a question about my birds nest bleaching. Recently, my heater went crazy and raised my temperature by 3 degrees in my tank. I did not know this was happening until several days after the start. In the mean time, my birds nest coral started to bleach at a rapid rate! This was my queue to...

Proper Wattage for 90 gallon heater

One thing I consider in my selection of a heater was the fact that I live in a very warm climate most of the year. I live in Arkansas where 110 F days are not uncommon so the temp in my house year round stays around 77-80. With that said, I have a cooling problem more often and a heating...

    Smitty's Reef

I have a questions for you. I tried to find out in the thread but man, 91 pages?! LOL What is the size of you tank? Is it a true cube shape? I have recently upgraded to 120 gallon cube.

Reef Lighting Times - Is their a limit?

Hmm, I may give that a try. If I start seeing a difference int he coral I can always switch back.

Reef Lighting Times - Is their a limit?

I was wondering if there is such a thing as to much light exposure when considering the TIME of exposure, NOT the type brightness or intensity. In other words, if I have the "prefect" lighting system and my corals are thriving and I have no algae growth to speak of, can I leave my lights on...
