The closer I look the more it looks likes light brown encrusting with pores in it , so im guessing it is brown coraline

There was no obvious purple Coraline there but maybe some brown its there is such thing? The rock was exposed to air for about 30 minutes a week and a half ago ? Would this explain it ? Is it anything to worry about?

Hi all , this morning i woke up and checked on the tank ot find that a kind of encrusting white coat is forming on alot of my rocks ? Anyone else had this or suggest what it is?

Theres no pet co , I live in st johns newfoundland . The lfs is quite away away from were i live and without a car getting buckets of water to and from is not the best . I think i will stick with distilled water from the store until i can get something better

I have tested my tap water levels and they are as follows , Ph 7.2 amm- 0.10 no2- 0 no3 0 other soon to come

I should also add that i am adding some ammonia detoxifier which goes with the water conditioner to remove ammonia , nitrites and nitrates . I dont know to what extent though

Im using the liquid PH test kits at the moment and it is only about a few weeks old . But was thinking of going getting one of the indicator which you stick on the tank today to make sure . So should i get buffer or the ph up stuff which old 5kool suggested?

So i guess it would be better to the get the PH up stuff and slowly add that per day to raise it back up , would you add it directly to the tank or to the top up water
