    Coral Trouble

Thanks Piggy. You're right, they are EVERYWHERE. I'm sure there are a lot more too. I'll start treating them as soon as possible. So I thought I had algae and it turns out to be flatworms. I thought my zooanthids were growing, and it turns out they are being taken over by a sponge. I'm...

    Coral Trouble

2x65 PCs - Current USA (65 actinic) On another note, I was checking out the "jelly" stuff on my leather, and I watched one of them move. I'm assuming this means I've got some darned flatworms. Upon further examination - they are scattered across my tank. Maybe these guys are what's pissing...

I should also note that I took all these pics right when my lights came on, so they look extra sad.

    Coral Trouble

I'm understanding what everyone told me about the first year being a little rough. I have JUST finished fighting off some jelly algae, and now I have some questions about my declining corals. I originally thought that they were in trouble because of the algae, but I need to know if I have a...

    Algae issues...

Thanks for the help guys. To answer the questions - I am using RO water and feeding frozen mysis. I'm going to try to suck some out and pick up some phosphate remover. If that doesn't work, I'll try the "lights out" method.

    Algae issues...

Hey guys, For the past few weeks (more like a month or two), I have been battling this nasty algae. I feel like it's different than that diatoms I had when the tank first went up... although it is brownish red. This stuff forms into a thick, kinda slimey film all over the sand and climes up...

    Need an ID

Hey Guys, I've been away for a while and just noticed something new in my tank. It was hard to get a clear shot of it, and it doesn't move. Can you tell me what this is? In the second pic there is another one above it. In other news, I've got some new tankmates to introduce. The...

    Struggling Zoas - Bubble Algae?

Two clowns and two chromis. I haven't seen them messing with the coral, but the shrimp have really been pestering the other coral.

    Struggling Zoas - Bubble Algae?

Thanks Reef, I'll try that out. I've had them about 3 weeks. They used to be open, but soon less and less would open, now I only have one or two that will open about half way.
