i cant believe how many of you place the electrical strips right in the sump area. arent you all worried about moisture, salt creep, salt spray, anything getting into it? that's like a fire waiting to happen?

iodide will not be effective as lugols iodine dip. do you see anything chewing on the zoas? tiny worms?

you should also iodine dip them when you get them from the stores. it removes parasites, worms, etc.

as i recall, the decent t5 bulbs run a little higher than that. and once you swap out a bulb, you'll have to swap them all out, making it about the same if not more expensive to get decent t5 bulbs replaced. oh and as far as the chiller thing goes, i run halides on my tank and dont run a...

i would not do anything more than a 50% water change every time, just do it daily and it will dilute out the toxins. a 100% water change is beyond risky.
