    Help Please!!! Major Snail Problems

Only a guess... Same Rock we had in the old tank, same sand, but new was added so it could be a contributing factor. We are on a RO system with auto top off - so don't think that's the issue - all parts but the bolt holding the float valve are plastic. Would this stainless steel looking bolt...

    Help Please!!! Major Snail Problems

Copper Test showed negative. And the folks from the other fish store were positive that it was going to be the issue based on where I've been getting my fish. She asked me to bring in a sample today so they can check it. I don't feel stray voltage when I stick my hands in - but perhaps I...

    Help Please!!! Major Snail Problems

You have got to be kidding about polyps being placed in the shade!!!! For the 4 *##*ing years that I've been buying things from this guy and having him move and maintain our tanks - he has never said that or moved them to better locations during a water change! NO wonder they aren't happy...

    Help Please!!! Major Snail Problems

So isn't the sump a part of the pump and all the stuff that's underneath the tank? How much rock should be in the tank? We had problems with nitrates in our 90 gallon tank because we couldn't get behind the rock to clean. So how does one get the right amount of rock? AND healthy corals -...

    Help Please!!! Major Snail Problems

Thanks! I won't worry about salinity for a while. But - will it come down on it's own, or eventually will I have to do something about it? So I have photos to upload, but evidently I'm as forum challenged as I am tank saavy... Wordpress won't let me add photos to my media library - any...

So, I'm now in tears!!! Just called the owner of the Store that has installed and been doing monthly maintence on my tank. Her advice with 40 years of saltwater experience. "If your problems is with your snails, just don't put any in the tank!" As I'm expressing my concern for the quality...

    Help Please!!! Major Snail Problems

Everybody here is great! BLESS YOU ALL and THANK YOU! I've got lots to troubleshoot now and get to the answer. Yes we are done adding things, but how do you know it's fixed until you pop somebody new in and see what happens? Can't say for sure that they tank was properly cycled, but...

    Help Please!!! Major Snail Problems

I know that my maintenance guy has checked for stray voltage since installing the probe, and we have also monitored this since continued problems. The needle on the voltemeter doesn't move... So it appears that stray voltage isn't the problem, but my snails still act like they are in shock...

    Help Please!!! Major Snail Problems

Thanks everyone! I'll pull out my test kit and start monitoring more. I do take water samples in between cleanings - and again am always told things are perfect. We do have a refugium on the tank, but I think the lights are on 24 hours. The first 2 months the algae grew lots, since then not...

    Help Please!!! Major Snail Problems

Greetings! This is my first post to this forum. We are at our wits end and don't know where to turn, so any help or suggestions would be appreciated. We have gone from a 90 gallon bowfront tank which was a challenge to keep the water balanced, to a 210 gallon tank which we've plumbed with...
