PRC's 90 gallon Build

Here is a pic of my tank with all of the live rock. I may end up moving the rock around. I'll let it sit for a day or two to make sure I like it. I'm a little concerned about taking the rock all the way to the back corners.

PRC, it's looking great!! Glad to hear things are progressing just as they should be. Also glad that the algae scrubber is working well so far. As long as you clean it like clockwork, it should continue to perform well in your tank. Thanks for the photos!

I tested for Ammonia today...All gone.:D
Still got a little bit of Nitrites, I would figure a couple more days. Hopefully the addition of the live rock won't throw everything out of whack.. Everything looks normal so far. Maybe by the weekend I'll be adding fish!....:whoopee!:

A quick update. I finished my cycle today! 3/4/10. Went to the LFS and picked up a mated pair of clowns. Seem healthy and happy. I originally planned on Green Chromis for the first fish, but I took the kids to the LFS with me.

I went up to the LFS today and bought some goodies. I picked up a hammer, a acan frag, a few small zoas, and a couple really sweet mushrooms. I've been trying to get pics, but with my crappy camera phone and my other crappy fuji, things just don't seem to be working out for me. Don't tell me I'm going to have to invest in a $1000 camera just to send pictures to you guys.

i've been using my wifes 100 dollar fuji from walmart here recently, and it works just fine, it just dosent have any macro abilities... :(

Here are the best pics I could take of the stuff I picked up today. Crappy camera. I don't have everything placed where I want it yet, I've gotta look at it for awhile and decide where the best places are. Aquascaping is hard.

Nice additions PRC. Aquascaping in the books seems so easy, until the rock is sitting right in front of you and you have already moved it 4 times.

Since my tank is in the wall I can't do it from the front of the tank, so I have to move a rock, walk around to the front, PITA.

So your sayin we aint worth it???
Sounds like a great day at the LFS to me.:D Cant wait to see em.

Here are the latest pics of my algae scrubber, now that I've got some livestock and am feeding, cycle is complete I'm starting to see some nice green algae growth. However, I've only got 2 clowns at this point, so there's not alot of waste being produced for a 90g tank.

Here are my stats:
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
PH 8.4-8.6 (MH lights on for 30 min.)
Nitrate 15

I increased the flow on the scrubber 3 days ago and it's made a difference. I'm also going to add another light to each side. I've cleaned the scrubber twice, each time it has given me signficantly more growth (but mostly diatom algae, due to cycle)...Now I'm getting to the good stuff. I'll keep posting each new cleaning with new stats every week, to show progress for anyone interested.
