    bristleworm

I know everyone says they are benificial cleaners, but I pull them out whenever I see them. I have had bristle worms attack clams and corals on two occasions in my tanks, and I just don't take the chance any more. Here is a pic of one eating my xenia:

    Good starter inverts?

Out of what you listed, emeralds, and the cleaner would be best. Peppermints are OK, but I find them boring, and you run the risk of getting a camel unless you have a sharp eye. Sally lightfoots can become aggressive. Lobsters will be aggressive, and are not a good choice for a community tank.

    percula clown tankmate?

It is possible to keep both percs and false percs (which black are). This is where misbars come from ;) Though it is a bit more difficult during the pairing stage.

    Packs 200 Gallon

This is the second one I have kept, and I never had a problem with either. Typically, they will not touch corals. They will, however, decimate fan/tube worms, so if you have any nice ornamental worms that is something to keep in mind. This one also for the first few days nipped at the "snorkels"...

    Advice on buying a tank

I would honestly say at least give used some thought. I personally will never by new again. Just ask them to have it filled before you get there and bring a copper test kit ;)

    pH problem again

Are you making sure to check the PH at the same time of day as well? The lighting will also affect PH quite a bit (why a lot of people run fuges on opposite schedules). What are your CA, MG, and dKH levels?

    Packs 200 Gallon

Thanks guys! I did get in two new additions, a copperband butterfly and a second cleaner shrimp. Tomorrow I should have in a long nosed butterfly and a school of blue/green chromis as well.

    Packs 200 Gallon

Thanks everyone! I did get some more macros in yesterday, some ulva, halimedia, shaving brush, and mermaids fan. I have some more on the wish list as well. But everything comes a little slower here, as the nearest LFS's are a 250 mile round tripper, so its road trips or internet only for me...

Temps climbing, what can I do?

I personally have had two fish jump right through egg crate, so I can at least see where the LFS is coming from, but like stated, better than nothing. And a WHOLE lot better than glass tops, as they will pose a great reduction in your gas exchange, as well as the temp issues. What I have done...

    opinion on fish

With that list, I would not say you are overstocked. But getting there ;) It would all also depend on how much maintenance you want to be doing, how good your skimmer is, how much rock you have, etc. But assuming that is all in order, you should be OK. As far as how long you could keep the tang...

    Packs 200 Gallon

Just thought I would start off here by telling/showing a little bit about my system. The main display is a 200 gallon, (84"X24"X24"), with a 55 gallon acrylic sump, and a 20 gallon long fuge. Has about a 2" sand base, with 250lbs of rock in tank, with another 100 pounds of rock in sump, lighting...

    Hello Everyone!

Just came across you guys today and wanted to say hello. My name is Jason, I have been keeping tanks for most of my life, ever since I can remember as a kid. I am also the president/founder of a local club here in Reno, The Reno Area Reef Society (RARS). I currently just have my one set-up...
