Here are the first pics of the new 220. I'll get the plumbing sorted out during our "blizzard" tomorrow, so I can get some rock as soon as the weather breaks.

I'm setting up a 220g reef (tomorrow), and cant decide on grain size, and depth of sand in the tank. Does it have to be aragonite, or can regular silica sand be used? Just enough to cover the bottom, or do I need depth? I'd rather not spend $300-$400 on sand! I intend to have a refugium...

Thanks for all the responses. I'm bringing the tank home tomorrow. I've had it at work, painting the cabinet. I would prefer stained wood, but it had two layers already, and I dont have the time or patience to strip it totally... so I regretfully painted it black. I should have it moved in...
