this thing is like a web... theres nothing inside..just the tiny circles joined by a web

soft....im pretty sure it came with the live rock

it is hollow inside....so it could not be a polyp or an egg. I'll try to get a closer/clearer pic.

a tiny worm and very small looking critter, not sure what it is......i might give it a week before i say it officially dead...??

I freshwater dipped it for about 10 minutes to get rid of pests. Its been 2 days and up to now it still has not gone out...is this thing dead?

i dipped the zoa frag last night and found that star and got rid of it. Dont know if thats killing the Zoa as it has been reduced to half after a week in my tank. I also saw what looks like leech, also looks like a snail without shell looking creature with 2 antennae on the rock, don't know...

Tank is nearing 2 weeks, water still looks good, still zero for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate, pH is at 8.3.....only think I notice is that some rocks are starting to turn a little green...which is a good sign i guess...my AquaC remora HOB skimmer pulls about 2 gals. of water everyday...i hope...

yes, live rock has been with LFS for a while.....no smell or whatever when i got it..id still give it a couple more weeks.....thanks for all the info!

blue damsel. next fish I'd like to get is a pair of ocellaris clown fish...at $20 each I went with the $7 damsel to help cycle the tank....

Thanks guys...its been a week now and ammonia and nitrite are still 0 at his point. Added a couple of h. crabs and a damsel to help the cycle.

I'll try to get a pic of this elusive crab... I did a little search and looks like the bug in my tank is an isopod(aegid or cirolanid) which is a parasite and will harm fishes......any input on how to deal with this will be appreciated...tnx
