    Looks like a jelly???

We discovered what looks like a miniscule jelly fish swimming in the tank. Trying to upload a video of it, but having trouble. It's about the size of the pointed end of a pencil. Clear, with 2 tiny little streamers. It looked like it was "squirting" through the water. I have NEVER heard of...

    New Set Up

I agree w/ adding the seahorses first. The tank was originally going to be a seahorse reef w/ a gorgonian or two. My partner got involved though and fell in love w/ the black percs. I think I'll put together another 37gal for the seahorses and try some algaes instead of a loaded reef. I've...

    New Set Up

Thanks for your input. I don't understand why you say I'm at my limit for stocking. Please explain. I've had seahorses before for 5 years. Never with the clowns though. They did fine. They didn't survive a 1200 mile move though.

    New Set Up

I'm back! I finally have my 37gal set up. Tank cycled, live rock cured and added. Up and going for 6 weeks. Pics coming soon. For now I have 25lbs of Bali Alor live rock. One leather coral (w/ what appears to be a couple of tiny Xenias sharing the rock). This was an unexpected gift from my...

I'm finally ready to add liverock to my aquarium. If I have "cured" rock shipped, it will need to "cure" again. Right? Should I wait to order my clowns?

:disappoin Unfortunately, the new set up has been put on hold. My 60 gal discus tank ammonia levels have spiked. Ph is fine, so are nitrates and nitrites. Think addition of drift wood (that they swore by and said was tank ready) purchased from a "reputable" pet store chain was the reason...

Thanks for the responses! Much appreciated. I just returned from visiting a couple of local vendors. Pricing isn't bad $4.00/lb for live cured Fiji rock. It'll be a while before I start up. I look forward to following your posts until then. D

:bounce:hola amigos:bounce: I've just decided to get back in to salt water aquariums. I had a salt fiish aquarium for 5 years (seahorses). I managed well, but gave it up when I relocated. I grew up w/ parents that were avid reefers, so I have some knowledge. I've reviewed a few sites and...
