    could that be why mine has hair algae shortly after the screen got green and red bubble algae growing out of pores in my rock? I'm not over feeding either.

    I'm not the expert, but i think your slot should be able to be even the whole length. Also my scrubber started yellowish for a while and over time it turned green. I have two 26watt cfls about 3" from the screen for about 16 hours. I don't know if you have the option but slanting it upward...

    Yea damsels suck in the long run. But, I have a Azure in my reef with lots of other fish and they're all fine. But it's not worth the risk. Catching fish in your aquascaped tank sucks.

    1. There is no minimum. The smaller the system the harder to be successful. Bigger systems are more stable. 2.Your rock will primarily be doing your filtration. Powerheads move your water so that it may be filtered. Sumps under your tank with skimmers,refugiums, or scrubbers are more important...

    I don't know if you're a DIYer at all, but GU10 leds are very cheap and very easy to wire. I know they've been used with great success with shallower tanks. Might be a good idea to look into. I think on ebay Gu10s from china are 6-7$ a piece
