Actually I'm not certain it's acrylic- it might very well be glass. Being new to the hobby, I just thought acrylic was the standard material. Yes, the store has not been very helpful in the matter. The manager just tends to get defensive when I mention any problems.

Thanks! I don't think it's just salt creep because it is in very large amounts consistently at two specific locations that drip down the sides. How can I fix the leaks?

I bought a 50 gallon tank ten months ago. About six months in, I started to notice some salt deposits in a certain spot at the top under the rim. What started as a few salt deposits has become large clusters of salt and water slowly dripping down the side in two places. I tried just not filling...
