try buying like 10 lbs of live rock from your lfs. just be sure its all purple or have a friend lend you some if its possible leave it for 3-5 weeks. it will grow trust me.
Lol, its about a half a inch thick on my walls of my frag tank. I know its affecting the chalice and acans its hard to keep my calcium about 350 and i want it at 475 to 500
I run halides, 2 purple, 2 white, and 2 blues on the t5's for tank in question. I'm guessing take the blues out or run them for a shorter cycle to see if that helps.
it's all i have ever used except when first getting into saltwater i used instant ocean. I use pre mixed water in a 500 gallon vat that is constantly mixing. also noticed that instant ocean for instance says makes 50 gallons...but in reality its more like 47 or 48 with the desired salinity(not a...
i will never get a good picture of the ever so mentioned specimen hes in a 1500 gallon vat and im not emptying it lol. this is just one of the 20 or 25 i have that i could get a decent picture of.
ok, so went up to my display tank to get a picture of the "mystery" tang and here it is from the side he was moving couldn't get a perfect shot but i assume this will work. And for sh!ts and giggles why i was up there took a quick pic of some coral and a mad duncan.
Here she blows 6 yellow tangs (or what i belive are yellow tangs) and 1 sailfin. These are identical to the one browning just in my 700 gallon frag tank i have had all these about 1 1/2 years now and they all do great except the exception on the one mentioned. Please correct me if im wrong but i...
It is a yellow i appreciate the concern to make sure all the info is correct. I'm positive its a yellow tang body is not as circular longer nose/mouth. I will take a pic of the other dozen i have in another tank that are identical and you can make the final decision based on that if it helps at...
Same happened to me i had built my own 25 blue and 25 white and it does hurt your corals SEVERELY. I dont recommend them to anyone unless you want the pop that it gives off.
I have about 5 or 6 LED fixtures. Stay with the halides do NOT make them your primary light source they WILL burn corals if you over do it. Don't ask how i know.
